On December 10, an Intellectual Cup dedicated to the UEFA Europa League Final to be held in Baku was organized for media workers. Alongside with journalists, spokespersons of football clubs also participated in the event.
The Intellectual Cup was held in Baku Olympic Stadium and was attended by 13 teams. The competition lasted for about 3 hours and asked the participants different questions about the history of the Europa League, interesting matches and famous footballers.
Marked by stiff competition, the Intellectual Cup consisted of 13 rounds. At each round, two teams randomly selected through a draw competed against each other. The team that gained more points was announced as the winner of the round.
At the end of the tournament, the Team representing İctimai TV scored 34 points taking 1st place in Intellectual Cup tournument, the team CBC Sport – 2 with 33 points came 2nd place and Penyarol team with 31 points came 3rd place. The organizers presented valuable gifts to the first 3 places.
At the end of the event, all media workers who participated in the tournament received certificates.
